Looking at an aesthetic
fox42 said: Hey, Love your art! Can i ask? Where do you get your inspiration?
Stylistically, I’m very inspired by clean-line comic makers and artists, especially Hergé, Kaneoya Sachiko, Ian King, William Adams, Ed Emberley, and numerous technical illustrators, particularly Matthew Tesch and whoever made the illustrated Japan Travel Bureau books. As for content, I’m very inspired by graphic design from the late 70’s to the late 90’s, which is probably nostalgic.
The actual desire to draw, however, comes from the joy of making a little world of my own, and the wish to develop my own illustrative and storytelling skill (or perhaps no story at all, sometimes). I’ve drawn since my early childhood, stopped in middle school, and only restarted several years ago. I enjoy drawing very much and I’m happy when I get the chance to make something and see my skill advance a little.
Thank you for the kind message.
